The Alienist Star Dakota Fanning Calls 1890s Workplace Harassment Weirdly Similar to 2018 (Video)

Dakota Fanning, who stars as a police secretary in TNTs 1890s crime drama The Alienist, says her characters storylines disappointingly reflect much of modern-day womens experiences. Fannings Sara Howard, secretary to the police commissioner, is often the butt of the mistreatment from her co-workers, but by the end of the series, shes also the one pushing them to solve the case of a serial killer murdering young children. You see Saras involvement evolve, and we see her kind of come into her power in her position at the police department, Fanning said in an interview with TheWrap. We see her in this position of power, wanting to continue this case when everyone else is thinking its hopeless and maybe not worth it.   ...Read More.... http://www.thewrap.com/alienist-dakota-fanning-1890s-workplace-harassment-weirdly-similar-2018/

How Dakota Fanning, Luke Evans, Alex Rich and Evan Peters Embraced the Limited Series (Video)

She and her co-stars Luke Evans and Daniel Bruhl appeared at TNTs upfronts presentation last year, only to be greeted with a trailer of the material they had been shooting just days earlier. Everybodys taking this very seriously and expecting a lot of it, Fanning told TheWraps Matt Donnelly as part of TheWraps Outstanding Limited Series Panel at the Landmark Theatres in Los Angeles on Tuesday. But everyone individually was expecting a lot of themselves and pushing themselves to do their best.  ...Read More... http://www.thewrap.com/dakota-fanning-luke-evans-alex-rich-evan-peters-limited-series/
